L’Olivier is a charming place, small and simple, where you can have wonderful meals. L’Escalier, which means The Stairs – so named because the romantic restaurant’s two levels are divided by a narrow staircase — serves top-quality, reasonably affordable dinners.
Then there is the Michelin-starred Le Jardin des Sens, which I plan to try when the budget allows. The chefs are Laurent and Jacques Pourcel, twins with memorable culinary vision. Seafood, truffles, duck, pigeon, fabulous desserts – every dish is a feast as well as a tad pricey. The restaurant also has a few guest rooms available.

Wow- your article took me back to when I lived in the south of France. I loved exploring Montpellier as well.
