Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2018
Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart in Bhopal
I know the main focus of EuropeUpClose is Europe, as you already guessed from the name, but every once in a while, I want to introduce you to some beautiful destinations beyond Europe as well.
So now I have some exciting news to share with you. Next month, I will be traveling to India for the first time to visit the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2018 in Bhopal. This is the 5th edition of the event and it brings together industry professionals, travel agents, and travel journalists from all over the world to learn more about this region.
Exploring Madhya Pradesh
I am very excited to visit the Indian Subcontinent, but especially Madhya Pradesh soon. At this Travel Mart, I will have the opportunity to learn about this central Indian region and can see first hand the beauty of this area.

Its main tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh is the Bandhavgarh National Park, one of the largest Tiger reserves in India. Another famous Tiger Reserve that I will visit is Kanha National Park, which was the inspiration for Kipling’s Jungle Book. I am especially excited about this because I will have a chance to go on a Tiger Safari during that time and <fingers crossed> hopefully will see some Tigers in the wild.
There are many other attractions as well, including some UNESCO Heritage Sites that I hope to visit. There are three in Madhya Pradesh:
- The Khajuraho Group of Monuments (1986)
- Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi (1989)
- The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka (2003)
